i love-love-love the song and this is my favourite version - hope u enjoy/ nice video too

_Bloody Mary's lacking in tabasco_Remember when he used to be a rascal?

it started as always- it was christmas- i was home alone- i started thinking and decided that i should write down New Year's resolutions- and keep them this time

but i couldn't find a pencil

so
i decided i should let someone else decide for me- my inner spinster took once again control and before i could realise what was happening i had a bottle of vodka at one hand and a pencil at another

Resolution #1: uggg - will obviously lose 20 lbs. #2: always put last night's panties in the laundry basket. Equally important: will find nice sensible boyfriend and stop forming romantic attachments to any of the following: alcoholics, workoholics, sexaholics, commitment-phobics, peeping toms, megalomaniacs, emotional fuckwits, or perverts. Will especially stop fantasizing about a particular person who embodies all these things.
thank god there was a harpeer's bazar around and i ended up drawing

i really liked my sketches so all i have to do is wait for New Year's Eve- , buy some booze, watch Bridget Jones 2 and let's hope there is a Vogue around

or i could buy a diary_ and stop abusing my friends' inbox:)

it's christmas!

just found some Christmas Vogue Covers and i thought i could share- it's Christmas after all

MERRY CHRISTMAS

LATE DECEMBER 1918
Christmas and After
by Helen Dryden

Though the Armistice was signed in November 1918, Vogue's festivities could not start until the Christmas number. Helen Dryden's selebratory cover focused on the deliverance of France, where so many Britons had fallen, and whose ragged tricolour reminded readers that victory came at a price

EARLY FEBRUARY 1919
Early Signs and Portents
by Georges Lepape

Between 1920 and 1930, Georges Lepape produced over 70 covers. his last appeared in 1939, just as war broke out for a second time

EARLY NOVEMBER 1920
Winter Fashions Number
by Helen Dreyden

This was the most prolific year for Dryden, in which she produced perhaps her most famous cover. She was everything Vogue could wish for in a cover artist. She could change her style- one moment over-ornate, the next decorative, but always informative.

Architectural Fashion: Frank Gehry for Lady Gaga

This morning I was watching MTV and there was video for Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”. Even if you like or don´t her music, the aesthetic/art direction of the video was incredible

after that i googled lady gaga and then found an article on archdaily about her new hat that famous
Mr Gehry designed.

it's actually good new! i'am always excited when i discover new ways in which architecture and fashion are linked together(being and architecture student, wishing for a fashion career)

i personaly did not like the hat.

what do you think?

wood.wood

here's WOOD WOOD my newest find from danmark-
i adore it's simplicity, yet the impressive truth in their lines

Wood Wood were discovered internationally at February´s CFW and now boast two Copenhagen stores, one in Berlin and a collaboration with Adidas worths its weight in gold. That has turned sportswear into streetwear. Yes! Pavement friendly sweaters, tops and trainers are the height of fashion.

WHY IS EVERYONE SO FREAKED OUT WHEN I SIT ON THE FLOOR?

this is a photo from Carey Mulligan's new film called the EDUCATION, which rises the following question

WHY IS EVERYONE SO FREAKED OUT WHEN I SIT ON THE FLOOR?

i can't wait for the movie!

lilly allen on the chanel show

am i the only one to find this terribly funny?

a piece of inspiration

"...Look inside, look inside your tiny mind,
then look a bit harder
Cause we're so uninspired
so sick and tired, of all the hatred you harbour..."

lily allen, fuck you

i've been feeling a bit unispired latelly-
well it's probably because of the uni and the new academic year-
or  i could blame the elections and the general political chaos situation(i feel opposed to everybody)-
of course the most probable cause is the weather

it's freakin' hot- almost 30 degrees- i am bored of my summer clothes- bored of the sun- i need to wear my wellies and my ugg boots

the only thing that made me feel a bit better the last couple of days is the photo above of leighton meester

"Making Blair Waldorf proud, the Gossip Girlstar has a high-fashion moment in a watercolor minidress paired with satin platform sandals and mid-calf black socks – all by Louis Vuitton – and Cathy Waterman jewels at the line's runway show during Paris Fashion Week."

burberry sophistication

i found this photo of gwineth parthow on people the other day and i was rather astonished when i realised that most visitors of that page considered the outfit to be not a hit but a miss!!!

she is dressed in burberry and i thought she looked amazing and really sophisticated- please note the fact that i'm not a burberry or gwineth fan either
but why on earth did the good people of people.com vote against her????
why, why, why?

the "Alexa" Bag

i don't know about you but i got to admit, I LOVE THIS BAG! what fascinates me the most is that the bag seems full of stuff!

it is a mulberry bag named after Alexa Chung. the name of the bag is the "Alexa" Bag!

i've been unable to find this specific product on the market- what i know is that it is quite similar to the Mulberry Bayswater Bag

~the amazing mr burton~

i was so thrilled to learn that New York's MoMA features the films and artwork of Tim Burton in a retrospective! then i remembered of course that is highly unlikely i manage to visit the exhibition, which is held till the end of April...:(

then i found the most amazing fashion shoot ever in next months bazaar!!! burton inspired fashion???? simply genious!!!

should i go further and suggest that fashion is bacoming darker and darker latelly? darker and more imaginative, but still really dark... well someone can only wait for the spring to arrive_ and enjoy darkness of course

oh MAN!

i don't know about you but i just love the sincerety of her intentions, her raw approach on fashion and the way she reinvents human attitute on our times!!

here's what dazed said about the new designer for MAN, Katie Eary

[...Newcomer Katie Eary was first up and from last season’s Animal Farm, she looked at other seminal texts; William Burroughs’ Junky and Naked Lunch and served up a visceral look at the human body, dissecting body parts that translated into frayed denim, heart and eye prints, gold pigskin over sunglasses, gold bone and pearl ribcages, blood-red rope shoulderpieces and leather jackets in bruised leather. It was collection that went a level further from her last pig army collection, exploring even more materials and also ensured that her MAN debut was one to remember...]
