WHAT TO WEAR | stay classy san diego

4 months after my latest post here I am again! For a moment I thought I would let this blog go, wander eternally in a sea of forgotten sites, still online. I was overworked, tired, feeling extremely non-creative. 

But then again, I never felt like abandoning it completely. It's hard when you create sth, even that small, a teeny-tiny web corner where you can  share and record sartorial inspiration, the dream of an impeccable and deeply personal wardrobe.

So even if I don't post every day, or every week, rest assured that I am here.

This outfit post above is my interpretation of what a classy summer really means. 

In Greece, when you go to the beach and find yourself among a sea of thongs and brazilian-cut swimwear. Let's say it's more Copa Cabana and less Cote d' Azur.  This makes me want to cover myself, my reaction being that of a scandalised puritan great aunt that cannot really get the new generation. SNEAKING-OUT

AHHH sunny weather. Perfect for outfit posts! This has been lately my go to outfit! Sneakers, beanie, white geometric tee and oversized bag! Lately I've been obsessed with sneakers. They are comfy and IN again, but then every time I wear them I feel like I am somehow betraying a my sartorial bible. 

FASHION WEEK blues | the coat edition

 The same thing happens every FASHION WEEK. I choose to call it the FASHION WEEK BLUES. Everyone seems to be flying to a fashion week metropolis, sporting the most amazing outfits, while I am stuck in my room watching and being jealous. All this glamour, all these cities,all those amazing people all together. This season I decided to check the internet for FW news only once per day and try to go out often. I have my own FW. I may look funny or ridiculous to outsiders but still this is the only valid FW cure I have came up with so far! so this weekend hang with me and sport your most fabulous self!

2014 | post#1

2014 got me thinking! I know that I've been a BAD BAD blogger (emphasis on the BAD). But then maybe that's my style, if such style exists. I won't try to make up excuses. Over the last months, I've been terribly busy, but still I had time to shoot and do things. The think is I kinda lost my inspiration. Although I still do enjoy going through my favorite blogs every morning, I don't really feel excited about documenting my outfits. Is it that I suddenly got insecure? Not really. I just found myself one day in ZARA thinking "BUY this, it's blog material". This got me thinking of all those pieces I had bought over the last months for the blog, the scuba tops I only wore twice. I don't want this. I want the perfect wardrobe, one that contains an EQUIPMENT shirt, the perfect SKINNIES, a CAPE, the perfect black DRESS, many many white TEES (how many is enough?).

Then, I also realised how much I love creating content, editing, putting text and images together, making books, printing and gifting, printing and hanging on my walls. Is it something that will last? I don't know. Hang with me, because I believe it's sth worth trying!

ps. i know resolutions are so 2013. Everybody this year is saying "no more resolutions, not for me, not this year". apparently 2013 was a bad year for resolutions worldwide, but i am convinced the resolutions above are worth trying. no mores "going to the GYM everyday". It will never happen! Instead more general goals that give a tune for the year!

HELLO AGAIN. i'm battling a case of bad internet connection these days and i'm furious! 
On a happier note, the temperature has fallen at last, which means i can sync with the rest of the world and wear knits! This outfit is my idea of a comfy october. NOTE: i am not urging you to sell your kidneys for the things above! for example, i think that the chelsea boots are quite overpriced- one can find similar leather ones for more or less $120!  and the scarf! the bag and the bangle though i guess are pieces worth investing! one can only dream! have a nice rain day fellas!

THE SUBURBS

HELLO THERE. it's been a while! i've been buried under a load of work. This outfit has practically been my september uniform. A clutch, a simple shirt, a mandala, worn as bracelet! Have i explaned how much i love LAZY SHIRTS? With LAZY i mean OVERSIZED. When it's windy they move, when it's hot they are airy and when at a party they can be quite sexy. i've been adding many of them in my collection lately, i basically cannot wait to  show them to you!

Odd as it may sound, here in greece it's still summer. i may have already invested in a new coat but it's still 30C.  This is my last summer post! the pictures were taken 2 weeks ago at the old port of chania were i was playing tourist!

as you know i am rarely one of those to immediately comment on a fashion show. i usually take my time, breath it in, but DELPOZO stunned me. Romance and structure- is there a better combination???

ANTWERP TRIP

THIS DATES BACK TO JUNE

it's my last daytrip to ANTWERP before i left BELGIUM. ANTWERP is my favorite place in the world i think. maybe it's the stores, maybe the architecture, probably the fashion scene. 

This time i avoided crowded streets and stores, partly due to my lack of any budget. The reason i went there on a Saturday morning was to bid my farewell to the city i love so. I grabbed the chance and revisited MoMu- the fashion museum that was hosting a silk and prints exhibition!
